Best Bikes on Tour in Vietnam:

WHETHER YOU ARE looking for an adventure, escaping the modern world, cruising through Vietnam on the extensive road and trail networks, riding country lanes and tracks or are looking to test your skills along the buffalo trails, through rivers and where there are no roads at all then our selection of Honda’s or classic Belarussian Minsks are the tried and tested best bikes to use in Vietnam.

Honda XR150’s and CRF250’s

WITH CHANGES TO IMPORT TAX and local laws, within only a few years there has been an great increase in the number of modern bikes arriving in Vietnam, they’re a great choice for those seeking a more challenging adventure.

The Honda 150cc bike, in my opinion is the perfect bike for here, it has enough power and we are able to tackle everything Vietnam has to offer, plus it’s not too heavy for more difficult tracks, however if you feel you need a bit more grunt, are a heavier person or bringing more gear the CRF250 may be better for you.

Honda CB500x

FOR THOSE LOOKING for more power, to carry more gear or groups looking for longer support free tours the mid-sized Honda CB500x is a great choice it’s not too much heavier.  They’re also great for pillion rides.  This is a great choice for the Long Way Down and Ho Chi Minh Trail tours.

The Minsk

THROWING YOUR LEG OVER a Minsk is to become a part of Vietnamese history, it’s gone from replacing the buffalo as a beast of burden to becoming a cult brand and a symbol of freedom.

A recent resurgence has seen a new generation racing them in stubble field events and enduro’s and modifying them for the city and daily life.

The 125cc Engine is amazingly robust and there is nowhere we can’t go, they’ve been a favourite for over 30 years now.

Now with four stroke Honda engines in them, you get the full experience without the noise and smoke.  All of our Tour Veterans fall in love with their Minsk and the attention they attract along the way as the locals love to see foreigners touring on Minsk.
